mother’s day
May 8, 2011
he wrote his first poem for me
and gave it to me
today
“it has a sad bit in it”
he warned
I love that he wrote
of his love and his pain
I love that his words
are grounded in Truth
triggers
fears aroused
in my body
in my nerves
I honour
the intent
To keep me safe
but I relinquish
the need
these days I prefer
to be
open
the fear of a little girl
who was not reassured
I feel sad for her
as I write
I hold her close
“it’s going to be
all right”
I feel
as though
i’m not quite here
or there
in between
states
and stages
levels
and dimensions
for ever on the cusp
of a new paradigm
